Servicing and Transfers
Learn what happens when your loan transfers to or from RoundPoint, and how it affects your payments.
If you had an escrow account with your prior servicer, it will automatically transfer and your tax and insurance payments will continue to be made on your behalf.
If you have an escrow account, with an active insurance policy, we will continue to pay your insurance premium on your behalf. You will need to notify your insurance carrier that your loan was transferred. Please let them know you need to change the mortgagee clause and make them aware of your new loan number. Refer to our Contact Information page for our mortgagee clause.
Service transfers are a common occurrence in the mortgage industry; actions taken by the customer do not cause a transfer.

- Log in to your online account and save any information you would like to retain.
- Your new servicer will begin accepting payments after the transfer date.
- If you are enrolled in ACH, review your transfer communications. Your automatic payments may not automatically transfer. If necessary, your new servicer will provide details for re-enrollment.
- If you use your bank’s automatic bill pay service, please make sure to update it with information for your new servicer.
- If you have mortgage life or disability insurance, or any other type of optional insurance, the transfer of servicing rights may affect your coverage, including a risk of cancellation. Contact your provider with any questions or concerns.
Your first billing statement will be mailed approximately 15 days after your transfer date. Check your mail for additional information about the transfer!
All payments sent to the new address will be posted to your account within 10 days of your transfer date. You will be credited with making your payment on the day it is received.
Refer to our Contact Information page for our payment address.
Once the onboarding of your loan is finalized you can choose from a wide range of payment options including online, by phone, or via recurring monthly, bi-weekly or semi-monthly auto draft. If you want to make a payment before your loan transfer is complete, mail is the best way to make your payment.
You can still use a bill pay service for your monthly payments, but you will need to update the payee information and your loan number with your bank or third-party provider.
During the first 60 days following a servicing transfer to us, no credit reporting will occur. This ensures credit will not be affected if payments were made to the prior servicer after the transfer to us.
Review the welcome communications outlining your payment details and appropriate next steps.
If your payment was sent to your prior servicer’s address after your transfer date, don’t worry! It will automatically be forwarded and posted to your account.
For 60 days after your transfer date, payments will be forwarded to the new payment address. During this 60-day period, no late fees will be added to your account.
Payments made during the transition period, or the first 60 days after your transfer date, are not reported to the credit bureaus. Additionally, no late fees are incurred during this time.
